We are a contemporary painting studio in Old Town Monrovia. Paint 'n' Play invites people of all ages and skill levels to explore limitless creativity! There are no additional fees to paint. Our hands-on staff of Artists are always nearby to support with help and inspiration. You don't have to make an appointment, walk-ins are always welcome!

How it Works!

IT'S EASY : Just pick a piece of pottery from our shelves. We have several hundred pieces to choose from. If we don't have it , we will be glad to special order it for you.

Design and decorate. We have helpful, friendly insturctors on staff, also stencils and actual samples will help support and inspire you.

Ceramic projects must be left for glazing and firing and ready for pick at a later date.

Statuary painting make 'n' take projects with acylic paint (very children friendly) will be embelished and sealed and ready to take home the same day!

These are fun decorative items.

Our pottery pieces range from $18.00 and up and our statuary project start at $16.00, you pay only for your selected item. There is Never a studio fee.

If you do not complete your project on your first visit, you are welcome to come back another day to finish.

In a Pasadena Star New article, owners Lisa and Rachel were given recognition for the founding of this very special program, Hold 'n' Hand & Help 'n' Hearts. They donate artists time and materials for this program. Hold'n'Hands & Help n' Hearts is a project to help people whose loved ones are being treated for cancer at the City of Hope in Duarte and other local hospitals. They work with the kids & families in making hand impressions in clay and decorate them with themes important to the patient. This is given to the family members as a legacy piece and is a positive experience during an otherwise trying time.

Paint 'n' Play owners Lisa Barrios and Rachel Quimayousie are the type of business owners that contribute to making a city great. They support the community in many ways. They are leaders in helping the school's not only in Monrovia but throughout the San Gabriel Valley, they also provide art education to our children. They also work tirelessly in providing simple things like a meeting place for local non-profits to providing financial support and products.
